1. Our Core Promise

We built HEIC Convert with one main goal: to process your photos without invading your privacy. Unlike most online converters, we do not store your images. We do not have a database of user content.

2. How Processing Works

We use a hybrid processing model to ensure security:

• Local Processing (Primary): For small files, conversion happens entirely within your browser using WebAssembly technology. The file never leaves your device.
• Ephemeral Server Tunnel (Secondary): For larger files that might crash your browser, we use a secure, temporary server tunnel. These files are processed in RAM and are immediately deleted upon completion. They are never written to a persistent disk storage.

3. Data Collection

We do not collect personal identification information (PII) such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers. We may collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., "100 files converted today") to help us scale our infrastructure, but this data is never linked to specific users or specific images.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use standard analytics tools (like Google Analytics or Vercel Analytics) to monitor website performance. These tools collect anonymous data about page views and device types but do not have access to the files you upload.
